As spring approaches, the Egyptian vulture named Cusa still frequents the supplementary feeding station managed by the CERM Association in western Sicily.
The young vulture, which chose to winter in Sicily instead of migrating to Africa, began using the feeding station in August 2025. To support him through the autumn and winter, the food supply was expanded thanks to both the support of Rewilding Europe and a fundraising campaign activated on the GoFundMe platform.
In February 2026, around seventy black kites and several western marsh harriers took advantage of the feeding station alongside Cusa.
